In May, Homeland Security Investigations arrested Salvadoran Josue Saul Garcia-Lopez, labeled noncriminal in the U.S., while an international warrant listed him as an active MS-13 member tied to extortion and robbery in El Salvador.

Commentary

A warehouse dad still wipes diesel off a thumb and reads a headline that calls a gang warrant a paperwork error. He did not pay overtime so a foreign murder sheet could hide behind a U.S. blank.

That is the gap. Seventy percent charged here. The rest wanted there. One MS-13 warrant the papers skipped. The honest taxpayer already paid the arrest. The stylebook paid the adjective.

Look every working father who still fills a tank before dawn in the eye and answer this: if a foreign warrant does not count as criminal, who still owns the word?
