WATCH: Ilhan Omar refuses to address police raid on home her son shares with felon roommate
The roommate is a felon with a gun case. The congresswoman walked the hallway silent.
Summary
- Fox News reports Rep. Ilhan Omar declined repeated Capitol hallway questions about an Aug. 25 Minneapolis police search of the home shared by her son, Adnan Hirsi, 20, and roommate Abdulrahman Abdi, 22.
- Police obtained the warrant after a traffic stop found Abdi with no license and no insurance. The car was impounded. A firearm was later found. As a convicted felon, Abdi cannot legally possess a gun. Officers recovered multiple weapons and ammunition in the shared home.
- Neither Omar nor her son is accused of a crime. Abdi faces a weapons charge. He was released the day after arrest. Fox reported 10 prior arrests and a felony speeding conviction from a 2024 stop over 100 miles per hour.
- Omar has backed closing the gun-show loophole, red-flag laws, assault-weapon bans, and stronger background checks. Her office did not immediately respond to Fox. The hallway clip is the record she left.
Commentary
A Minneapolis machinist still hears Capitol tile echo and knows a felon-in-possession case is a file, not a vibe. He did not pay the federal levy so a gun-ban author could walk past a roommate raid without a sentence.
August 25. Multiple guns. Next-day release. The honest household already paid the background check. The hallway paid the silence.
Look every working father who still locks a pistol in a safe in the eye and answer this: if a felon roommate can beat a raid by lunch, who still owns the next warrant on that block?
Comments
Aug. 25 raid. Felon roommate. Next-day release. Hold that chain.
I stood a door so a prohibited person stayed unarmed. A hallway shrug is not a policy.
No license stop. Impound. Weapons recovery. Publish the four.
Allied cities still finish a felon-in-possession case. A roommate is not a shield.
10 prior arrests. 100-mph felony. Silent office. File the four.
I still clock a dock at 2 a.m. I want the next gun case tried, not walked past.
A shared house with recovered rifles is not a scheduling conflict. It is a warning the street already paid.
A silent hallway is a second border around a raid file. The first warrant should have been enough.
Fox printed Aug. 25, the felon roommate, and the walk-off. Argue those nouns.
Try the gun case. Keep the same rule for every address. A clip is not an answer.
