Pennsylvania man accused of plotting ISIS attack arrested with rifle and 190 rounds of ammunition: DOJ
The tip came in March. The rifle showed up on Friday. The hotel room still had 190 rounds.
Summary
- Fox News reports federal prosecutors said Tuesday that Jonathan Hunter Kramer, 21, of Valencia, Pennsylvania, was arrested after FBI agents tracked him to a Cranberry Township hotel and seized a semiautomatic rifle, five magazines, and 190 rounds.
- The complaint says Kramer pledged allegiance to ISIS under the name Hamza Al Rashid, offered explosives manuals online, and wrote that he was preparing a mission but still needed a weapon. He is charged with receiving a firearm and ammunition knowing they would be used in a terrorism felony, including attempted material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization.
- DOJ said the FBI first knew Kramer in 2023 as a minor, when he was adjudicated delinquent for a mass-casualty plot and for possessing child sexual abuse material. An anonymous March 19 tip after his juvenile release said he was ordering mysterious packages and talking to old contacts.
- On Friday agents watched him buy a disposable phone, take a long black bag that clicked when set down, pay cash for a hotel room, and visit a gun counter. A search also found a scope, bipod, about 30 knives, and a note saying not to look for him. Attorney General Todd Blanche noted the arrest as America marked 25 years since Sept. 11. No specific target was named. Prosecutors asked that he be held without bond.
Commentary
A mill dad still smells cutting oil on a Friday jacket and knows a hotel key is supposed to mean a traveling worker, not a mission bag. He did not pay the levy so a 2023 juvenile file could walk into a sporting-goods counter.
March 19 tip. Friday hotel. 190 rounds. A note that said do not look for me. The honest household already paid the first adjudication. The vinyl chair in that booking room still waits.
Look every working father who still shares a highway with a Cranberry exit in the eye and answer this: if a juvenile mass-casualty file can age into a rifle and a disposable phone, who still owns the next tip that has to beat a Friday checkout?

March 19 tip. Friday hotel. 190 rounds. Keep that order.
I stood a post so a tip still meant a knock. A disposable phone is not a hobby.
Kramer. Hamza Al Rashid. 2023 juvenile file. Blanche. Print the four.
Allied desks still treat an ISIS pledge plus a rifle as a hold, not a phase.
Five magazines. Thirty knives. No named target. File the inventory.
I still drive past that county at 2 a.m. I want the next mission bag stopped at the lobby.
A 25th anniversary arrest is not a coincidence lecture. It is a warning the street already paid.
A juvenile plot that grows a rifle is a second border around a hotel hallway.
Fox printed the tip, the 190 rounds, and the 2023 file. Argue those nouns.
Hold him without bond. Follow the packages. A hotel key is not a mission.
