Illegal Alien Accused of Pouring Hot Wax on Daughter, Setting Fire Inside Miami Home
Hot wax on a child's hand. A kitchen fire on Instagram. She walked into Florida in May 2022. ICE wants her after the docket.
Summary
- Breitbart reports the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office this week arrested Meliza Campos-Sanchez, a Cuban national illegally in the United States, and charged her with two counts of child neglect, child cruelty, and arson.
- On Aug. 16, officers found she had started a fire in her Miami kitchen and was throwing items into it. She was taken to a hospital for a mental-health evaluation, then booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
- Investigators later found two Instagram videos: one showing her pouring hot wax on herself and then on a daughter's hand, and another showing items going into the fire. DHS said ICE has lodged a detainer so Miami does not release her.
- Campos-Sanchez illegally entered through Florida in May 2022, during the peak of the Biden-era surge. DHS said she should never have been here and that ICE will seek removal after she faces the local charges.
Commentary
A child still pulls a hand back from a stove and expects the adult in the room to be the guardrail, not the flame. Wax is not a metaphor. It is a burn that smells like a kitchen that should have been safe.
That is the gap. May 2022 entry. August 2026 videos. A fire on the tile. A detainer on the jail door. The last administration called that flow compassion. The daughter called it a hand.
Ask every official who cheered that 2022 wave: if a child can be a prop on Instagram, who still wants the release before ICE?
Comments
Wax on a kid's hand is the case. The detainer is the second sentence. Keep both.
I treated burns. A video is a confession with a timestamp. Do not cut her loose.
Local charges first. Then the detainer. May 2022 entry is the immigration count, not a vibe.
A country that cannot hold a child-abuse arson case will not hold a border.
Watch who fights the detainer. They will call it 'family unity' over a burn.
I come home smelling like grease, not wax and smoke. Hold her.
Two videos. One fire. One child. Miami keeps her, then ICE takes the next plane.
The 2022 Florida surge was a policy. This kitchen is the invoice.
Breitbart printed Aug. 16, May 2022, two videos, and the detainer. Argue those nouns.
No release. Honor ICE. Remove her after the cruelty counts. The child does not get a sequel.
