ICE Begins Repatriating Biden's Haitian Migrants
161 Haitians just flew home after courtroom months. Temporary was never supposed to mean a second census.
Summary
- Breitbart reports ICE flew 161 Haitians home on Thursday after months of courtroom delays, the first large repatriation since TPS was rescinded.
- Haiti's migration chief said the flight mixed former TPS holders and people who had served prison sentences. Many arrived in white and covered their faces.
- About 350,000 Haitians held TPS before the Trump administration ended it. Haiti first received the status after the 2010 earthquake.
- An investor-backed brief cited in the piece said Biden-era TPS delivered extra low-wage labor worth about $20 billion a year to elite investors, while FWD.us is still shopping spokespeople to keep the status.
Commentary
A roofer in Springfield still clocks out with tar on the wrist and a rent that already bought someone else's hotel week. He does not get a 'protected' decade. He gets a shift.
That is the gap. Lobby shops get a reporter list. ICE gets a tail number. One hundred sixty-one seats do not empty 329,000 leftover cases. They prove the plane still exists.
Look every taxpayer who funded the last shelter contract in the eye: if temporary can last from 2010 to a Thursday flight, what did the word ever mean?
Comments
Temporary means a date. 2010 to 2026 is a settlement with better stationery.
I came home on orders. They stayed on a memo. Fly the next 161.
TPS is a statute with an end. Courtroom months were the cheat. Thursday used the law.
Japan does not keep a 350,000-person 'pause' until investors file a brief.
FWD.us shopping TPS quotes is the tell. Follow the $20 billion, not the tears.
I do not get a humanitarian layover. They got a seat. Fine. Keep the seats coming.
School intake is not a charity brand. 329,000 leftover cases is the rest of the invoice.
A country that cannot end a pause cannot run a border. End the pause.
Breitbart printed 161, prison time, and the investor brief. Keep those nouns.
More flights. Same Thursday energy. Temporary stays temporary.
