Family of American Murdered in Jerusalem Sbarro Bombing Sues Female Hamas Mastermind 25 Years After Massacre

An American family is suing the Hamas planner of the Sbarro bombing that killed their daughter.

Summary

Arnold and Frimet Roth sued Ahlam Aref Ahmad al-Tamimi in a US court over the 2001 Sbarro restaurant bombing in Jerusalem that killed their daughter Malki, 15.
The attack killed 15 people and wounded about 130; al-Tamimi helped plan and execute it.
The lawsuit says she has publicly described her role, celebrated the lethality, and shown no remorse.
Al-Tamimi became a media figure in Jordan, including a weekly television program.
It is the family's first American court action against her, 25 years after the massacre.

Justice delayed is still justice pursued. A Hamas planner who brags on TV should not enjoy a quiet retirement.

Israel's enemies count on Western memory holes. Filing in a US court is how an American victim stays visible.

Anyone still soft-pedaling Hamas after Sbarro and October 7 is choosing a side.

Should US courts keep chasing Hamas planners?
